Our Story

Baho Coffee was founded with a mission to showcase Rwanda's exceptional specialty coffee to the world. We work directly with local washing stations and farmers to ensure the highest quality beans while supporting sustainable farming practices.

Our name "Baho" means "life" in Kinyarwanda, reflecting our commitment to bringing life and opportunity to coffee-growing communities across Rwanda.

Through our washing stations across Rwanda, including Humure, Fugi, Gitoki, Muzo, Gakenke, Cyabingo, Ngoma, Akagera, Bugoyi, Matyazo, Bweyeye, Kinazi, Ngororero, Shangi, Mugera, Shara, and Karambi, we're able to trace every bean back to its origin, ensuring transparency and quality at every step.

Precision Processing at BAHO Coffee

At BAHO Coffee, we are a leading name in coffee processing in Rwanda, specializing in washed, natural, honey, and anaerobic processing methods. Our modern and strategically located coffee washing stations in Rwanda are equipped with advanced fermentation systems, raised African drying beds, and strict quality control procedures to ensure consistency and traceability. Through precision handling from cherry selection to final grading, we produce high-quality specialty Arabica coffee that meets international cupping standards. Every lot is carefully prepared for global export, supplying specialty coffee roasters and green coffee buyers across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

Fully Washed Process Coffee

Our fully washed Rwandan Arabica coffee is processed using clean mountain water and controlled fermentation techniques. This method enhances clarity, bright acidity, and floral aroma, making it ideal for specialty coffee roasters worldwide.

Natural Process Coffee

Our natural processed coffee from Rwanda is dried on raised African beds under careful supervision. This method enhances fruity sweetness, berry notes, and full body.

Honey Process Coffee

Our honey process coffee combines the brightness of washed coffee with the sweetness of natural processing. By carefully retaining mucilage during drying, we produce balanced and complex flavor profiles.

Anaerobic Process Coffee

Using controlled oxygen-limited fermentation, our anaerobic coffee process develops unique and complex flavor notes. This innovative method places BAHO Coffee among Rwanda’s most forward-thinking specialty coffee processors.
